Why the name
Chhaya means shadow in Sanskrit. A shadow adds nothing of its own; it shows the shape of what is already there. That is what good software should do: stay out of the way and make the work underneath visible.

How we work
Not a house style. Three habits we actually keep.
Terms before anyone pays
Licenses, limits, and support in plain language. Some work will be a one-time purchase. Some is open source. Some is closed and not for sale. We say which, on this site, first.
Small enough to support
We plan for maintenance before release. Architecture we can explain, limits we will admit, and a product we can stand behind after it ships.
One job at a time
Each product does one thing. We would rather finish that than announce a platform.
